Abstract. The article presents the history of archaeological researches of Surgut Ob from 1994 to 2010 years. This period is characterized by large-scale archaeological researches, which were due to the expansion of areas of economic development in the territories. Moreover, this period is characterized by the introduction of a obligatory system of preliminary historical and cultural examination of land on the territory of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra.
