ABSTRACT
Introduction: the article is a continuation of the research within the framework of the study of holo-meronymic structures in the Mansi language within the vast lexical-semantic field “human body” and is devoted to the analysis of the lexicalsemantic group “human hand” (with the exception of the names of bones).
Objective: to construct and analyze the holo-meronymic structure in the lexical-semantic group of nominations of human hand parts.
Research materials: somatic lexical units of the Northern dialect group of the Mansi language, personal file of the author.
Results and novelty of the research: for the first time, for demonstration of the consistency and strict order of somatic vocabulary, a list of names of the lexical-semantic group “human hand” (35 lexemes) with the involvement of extensive lexicographic material in the Upper Sosva, Middle Sosva, Sygva and Upper Lozva subdialects of the Sosva dialect of the Mansi language is identified and systematized; their semantics is determined; the holo-meronymic hierarchy of lexicalsemantic group “human hand” is built on the material of the identified lexemes; it type is established.
The analysis of the studied lexical somatic units has shown that mainly their basis consists of nominations of primordial ancient origin. Further replenishment of this somatic group occurred at the subsequent stage of the evolution of the Mansi language in the Ugric period. The most numerous layer consists of lexical units that appeared during the period of independent existence of the Mansi language. Subsequently, the formation and development of somatic vocabulary occurred not only at the expense of internal resources, but also as a result of external influence. The data obtained can be used in lexicological and lexicographic work, including comparative work, as well as in the creation of electronic corpora of the Mansi language.
Key words: holo-meronomic structure, holonym, meronym, Mansi language, somatic vocabulary of the Mansi language, lexical-semantic group, somatism
