The image of a tree in the prose of E.D. Aipin

Abstract: The subject of research is the image of a tree in the prose of E.D. Aipin. The purpose of the work is to consider the function of the woody images based on the works of the Khanty writer E.D. Aipin. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the woody images had never been the objects of a special study in the creative work of E.D. Aipin. In the works of the Khanty writer the woody images have the anthropomorphic embodiment. Certain trees and forests in the images of E.D. Aipin are like a reasonable of the Lagerms’ Kin» «the cedar wept with amber-clean tears», the trees in the story «The Bear’s Grief» also wept. However, there is the other comparison of trees with people. So, a tree becomes one of the means of creating of the image of the Beloved in lyric prose of the writer. Trees are the components of the landscape of prose of E.D. Aipin. The landscape created by the writer reflects the feelings of the lyrical hero. Analysis of the literary texts of E.D. Aipin shows that the woody images are means of creating and deep understanding of the ethnically represented hero. Through this hero the Khanty writer translates the mythological worldview of the ethnos. Anthropomorphism realized by the writer in the pages of his works allows asserting the idea about the inseparability of human and nature existence.
