Abstract. The present article is devoted to the technique of writing and validation of dictation in the Khanty language. It is described the methodology for dictation: reading of the whole text of the dictation; slow and expressive reading of sentences of the text; reading of the whole text at the end of the dictation. Dictating the text it is necessary to comply with pronunciation rules. Criteria of dictation assessment are identified, orthograms and paired and repeated paired punctuation marks are emphasized. Dictation in their various forms and variants along with other exercises play a positive role in teaching pelling and punctuation of the Khanty language.
