ABSTRACT
Introduction: the importance of the game in the development of a person is indisputable. The actualization of folk games in modern society contributes to the preservation of ethnic traditions, as well as the formation of new forms of regional culture. The article is devoted to the review of the results of the project on the development of outdoor and intellectual games of the Khanty and Mansi peoples in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra under the view of sociological research.
Objective: evaluation of the effectiveness of gaming practices based on the system of indicators of the social effectiveness of the project “Numas Yunt” and monitoring of social networks of different age groups who took part in the process of actualization of gaming practices of the Ob Ugrians in 2021–2022.
Research materials: the data of the expert survey among the control small target groups, as well as statistical information of the project page in “VKontakte” (“ВКонтакте”).
Results and novelty of the research: the sociological study in the field of modern gaming culture of the indigenous peoples of Yugra was conducted for the first time. The survey was conducted among teenagers, youth and adults actively involved in the development of the Ob-Ugric outdoor and intellectual games, and shows their readiness to participate in this activity in the near future. The results of the statistics of the project’s website indicate the demand for the “Numas Yunt” games project among representatives of the education and culture sectors. This process is characterized by the expansion of the geography of the project; high demand for project activities (seminars, workshops, etc.), increased support for the project among various institutions. Its results were the distribution of knowledge about the Ob-Ugric games and the skills of gaming technologies; increase in the number of participants;
implementation of gaming practices in the educational process; increase in the number of publications about the project and responses in social networks, the media and other indicators.
