Abstract. The Mansi like many traditional peoples celebrated seasonal changes in nature (annual solar cycle) by special rituals. Comparing data on ritual practices and customs of the people with folklore and mythological sources, ethnographic researches we can establish that there are ideas related to the ancient society and collective rituals among other things.
