Abstract. The article discusses the compatibility, features of functioning and classification of verbs, lexical-semantic group creation based on their semantics on the material of the Shuryshkarsky dialect of the Khanty language. The subject of the study is combinability of verbs of creation in the Khanty language. The relevance and novelty of the research are in the fact that on material of the Khanty language verbs of creation are not enough researched. The aims of the research are revealing of creation verbs, definition of a set of semantic signs of the studied verbs, analysis of these units with the purpose to reveal their structural and semantic features. Verbs of creation are among the main lexical-semantic groups of the Khanty language because of the im- portance and necessity of processes, which they express. As a result of the study it was revealed that the actions called verbs of creation assume one or the other object and they can't exist without it. The form of the noun in a local and instrumental case filled with concrete lexical content in the position of a direct object is a way of expression of the certain structurally determined meaning of a verb – «to create something».
