ABSTRACT
Introduction: the subject of the study is the textological features of the work presented in various publications.
Objective: to reveal different interpretations in two editions of the text of the story by Ye. D. Aypin «The Autumn in Your City».
Research materials: the story by Ye. D. Aypin «The Autumn in Your City» published in the collections «The Oathbreaker» (1993) and «The River-in-January» (2007).
Results and novelty of the research: the study is the first experience of referring to the textology of the work by the Khanty writer Ye. Aypin. Attention is focused on identification of different interpretations in each source and the reasons for their changes. The study of transformations of the text in the story by Ye. D. Aypin «The Autumn in Your City» provides an opportunity for the further interpretation of the content and form of the narrative. Textological analysis has shown that the republication of the story «The Autumn in Your City» in the collection «The River-in-January» has fundamental differences
from the first version of the text printed in the collection «The Oathbreaker». In the later version of the text, the lyrical hero is more open and frank. The image of the beloved has become more specific, there are references to the feelings of the heroine, which was absent in the early version of the text. Textological analysis allowed us to observe the movement of the author’s thought, long-term work on the word and the ideological content.
