Abstract. The article describes the types of speech compositions in the prose of K.G. Abramov, notes, that they can be deployed in monologic and in dialogic (polylogical) plans. The basic units of monologic speech are the complex syntactic integer, linearly-syntactic chain, parataxis and isolated single (free) sentence, the basic unit of dialogic speech is dialogic unity.
