Abstract. Within this research the analysis of lexical compatibility showed that the range of the nouns, capable to enter a combination to this or that destructive verb, can vary considerably. On the basis of the analysis of the presented verbs of destructive influence and taking into account F.K.  Buraikhi’s concept it is possible to speak about two types of lexical compatibility: polygroup and monogroup, depending on what number of lexico-semantic groups of nouns is included into the range of object lexical compatibility of a destructive verb.
