Abstract. The article discusses various categories of Ob-Ugric people’s folk art goods in the context of their social signifi cancein traditional culture. The work traces the causes of preservation and transformation of their forms, main functions and other characteristics inthe modern society. The current state of arts and crafts of indigenous people of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug is estimated.
