Abstract. The article reveals the importance of philosophical talent for understanding of life experience of another person and experience of different culture. The author proves that the fundamental issue of philosophy is the question of obviousness. He explains the various levels of understanding of philosophy and related challenges, shows that philosophical talent consists of a special focus on new. Aristotle identifi ed this intention as amazement. If an ordinary man does not believe in such facts, for which the explanation is unknown, the philosopher is able to accept fundamentally unexplainable things in the conventional picture of the world. Due to the ability it is possible tounderstand theworld view of different culture.
