Abstract. Key idea of the Concept of sustainable development is the sustainable development of the global economy which allows to satisfy not only current needs and requirements of humanity, but also to keep the possibilities for fuller satisfaction of various needs of the future generations. The article analyzes the theoretical aspects of sustainable development and generalizes the results of sociological researches conducted by the author in 2012 on the subject.
