Abstract.Summary.This article analyzes the cultural aspects of formation of images in native city of XVII–XIX centuries. There were transformations of cities and change of their status during this period. The transition to a new time in the Russian civilization led to the gradual replacement of the sacred principles. Images of executioner, priest and victim are gradually shifted to the periphery. The Russian cityof this period is characterized by demonstrativeinclination to acting, dramaturgy, sinfulness. His images reveal people’s awareness of the specifics of humanized space in new historical conditions.
