ABSTRACT
Introduction: this article analyses linguopoetical phenomenon of time in the poetic discourse of Peter Zakharov, who is one of brightest representatives of the ethno-futuristic trend of modern Udmurt poetry of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries.
Objective: to analyze the different levels of connection of the text grammar and its artistic semantics; to show the reciprocity of form and content, language elements and individual author’s worldview.
Research materials: Peter Zakharov’s poems, included in his debut book “Vozh vyzh” (“Green Bridge”).
Results and novelty of the research: the scientific novelty of the research is dictated by the lack of knowledge of the problems of temporality in Udmurt idiostyles, the lack of lingua-poetical practices within the framework of Udmurt philology, and insufficient attention to the prosody aspects of literary criticism. It is established that time is the basis of P. Zakharov’s artistic picture of the world: the lyrical subject recognizes himself, others, the surrounding reality through the prism of time, which overgrows a large number of features, characteristics, definitions in the percipient consciousness. The category of time is interpreted analytically in the context of heterogeneous grammatical structures, lexical representations, and in the complexly organized system of the artistic content of a concrete poetic text. During the interpretation of the poems, the dominant temporal scenarios were identified and the semantic plans associated with them were described. The increased attention of the author’s “I” to the language as the main instrument of writing was ascertained. A study of Zakharov’s poems has shown that there are two representative groups: the first includes texts with explicated language searches, in the
second – texts without the linguistic participation of the author.
Key words: Udmurt poetry, ethnofuturism, idiostyle, linguopoetic transformations, temporal models, lyrical subject, lyrical plot.
